Katrina is my little sister and she has often stepped in as my amazing model, however this time she brought along her amazing fiance for our photo session! I was more than happy to take their engagement pictures and design their save the date cards. I am actually apart of her wedding this coming November and I can't wait to take part in their grey and yellow country chic wedding at the Frontier Lodge in Graham Washington.
One of the things that made their engagement sessions so sweet and unique is that Steve and Katrina are waiting until their wedding day to have their first kiss. At first I was nervous this would make for less emotion and romance but boy was I wrong! I am so happy for these two and I couldn't imagine a better couple to work with! Their wedding photographer is pretty luck!

Pricing Policy
In the Photography world there is a saying that
a photographer needs to price their fees at what they think they are worth, and
it isn't uncommon to expect to spend hundreds of dollars on a photo
session, be it newborn, engagement or wedding.
I have thought long and hard about my prices,
and I have them at the place they are for a reason. When I first started out my
prices were actually higher than they are now. As I have matured as a
person and a photographer, I have learned a few things about life (who doesn't)
and why would I expect my clients to pay prices I myself wouldn't pay? I don't
have the funds to drop a ton of money on a few images and I would assume that if
I can't, others in my city can't either.
So, I decided to go against the norm. Not
because I am a "New" photographer. Not because I don't value MY time
or photos. I don't do it to undercut other photographers in the market.
The reason my prices are all under $150 for a normal sessions and $800 for a
wedding? Because I value my clients. I
value that anyone should be able to get fantastic professional pictures at
prices less than wal-mart on a blue collar, single income budget. I value that
my prices don't force a family to save up for months, or have to choose between
getting Christmas pictures or Christmas presents. I want to offer prices that
are realistic and do-able, especially in a place with a less than super
economy.
Photography, while it is my business, is first
and foremost always going to be my passion. And sharing that passion with
others will always trump everything else. Including my prices.
